Up until today I had been working on separate sheets, where I would just collect my research. However today I decided on filtering through my research and transferring it into a sketchbook. This wasn't difficult to do but quite time consuming as filtering through my research and placing it in my book took time. It was time consuming because I was printing in different sizes and on three different types of fabrics as I have decided to use card, tracing paper and tissue paper. But I feel like it was worth the time because eI'm quite happy with how it looks. This probably took up about half of the day. So for the rest of the evening I
conducted my three photo shoots for the Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella and Voyeurism VS Fetishism ideas. For my Cinderella idea I waited till the evening as I needed to take the photos when it was dark outside. As I took the photos in my parents room where they had fairy lights on the windows. I used this because the lights shone through the muslin curtain making it look hazy. I also experimented with different fabrics over the lens to create a different blurred effect. I found that using a cream chiffon created an interesting blur and it also work better than the other fabrics which were a lace and a pink organza. However whilst I was waiting to take those photos I was taking the pictures for the Voyeurism VS Fetishism. For this I was brainstorming ideas and I settled on the idea of something pure becoming corrupted. This lead me to thinking of how when I am cleaning my paintbrush in water the ink will slowly pollute the water. To take the photos of this I filled up my bathroom sink and dropped 2 drops of ink in it and then gently stirred it around so the ink spread throughout the water. I liked this but thought it wasn't very exciting so to improve from this I filled up a glass bowl with water put in the drops of ink and some purple glitter I took photos of this and then gradually added more glitter to it. I added different colours of acrylic to represent the purity and how its bright and clean but then gets corrupted by the impurity of the ink. I preferred these photos compared to my first ones because I think they represented my idea a lot clearer and was more interesting to look at.
